Today I am focused on staying focused. Yesterday, I sat down at my computer to work on a project, and I set a timer to see how long I could stay focused without switching to something else (including going to the bathroom or getting something to eat). I never lasted more than 8 minutes without my mind wanting to do something else. So now that I’m aware of this, I’m now focused on staying focused and will use a timer to build the muscle of staying focused. I love Jim Rohn’s quote - “For things to get better, you have to get better”. That’s what I want… Let’s go!
After three weeks of great reasons (excuses), I’m back in the gym and starting again. I’m excited to start getting stronger again, but I’m even more excited to build the muscle of discipline, the muscle that builds good habits, consistency.
